Troopers: Man fell asleep at the wheel, caused crash that killed one of his passengers Posted: Updated: Washington State Patrol troopers say a man fell asleep at the wheel, which caused a crash that killed a woman who was riding in his car Wednesday afternoon. Troopers say 63-year-old Gordon Zodrow was driving east on Hwy. 260 near Washtucna, when he fell asleep. Investigators say after he fell asleep, his truck went off the road, over-corrected, then crossed into the westbound lanes -- where it rolled. The crash killed 59-year-old Therese Zodrow, and sent both Gordon Zodrow and a 12-year-old boy to the hospital. No word on how badly those two are hurt, but troopers say charges are pending in the case.
