A Maple Falls woman died after crashing her car into an embankment off Mount Baker Highway early Thursday, Jan. 30, according to the Washington State Patrol.
A Maple Falls woman died after crashing her car into an embankment off Mount Baker Highway early Thursday, Jan. 30. Ashleigh N. Graham, 27, was driving west in the 8700 block of the highway at about 12:40 a.m. when her 1988 Honda Civic went off the right side of the road, struck an embankment and came to rest in a deep ditch. A passerby spotted the car and called 911. Graham was pronounced dead at the scene. She wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Troopers suspect that she was driving too fast for the conditions.
