WSP: 1 killed, 3 injured in crash, brush fire off I-82 near Ellensburg

Troopers say a driver fell asleep at the wheel and over-corrected their car, causing the vehicle to go off the roadway near milepost 11, about four miles south of Ellensburg.

Cause of the crash is under investigation, but Moore said the driver left the road and overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll over. The Pathfinder caught fire, sparking a brush fire that burned about five acres before being extinguished, Moore said.
