Three killed in collision near Highway 195 and Thorp

Three people were killed in a collision Saturday afternoon. Washington State Patrol confirms three people have died in a two-car collision in the area of Highway 195 and Thorp Road. We will post more information here as soon as it is received. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. The crash happened just after 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon.

Possible fatal collision closes Highway 195 near Thorp

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. -- Washington State Patrol officials said a collision closed the northbound lanes of Highway 195 near Thorp Saturday. Officials said they were investigating a possible fatal collision between two cars around 3:30 p.m. They did not yet have an estimated time for reopening the roadway.

Stacy Maquaila, 20; Alaina Lawson, 24; and Jewel Gilmore, 20 were all pronounced dead at the scene. Two other passengers were transported to Sacred Heart with serious injuries.
