It was about 6:25am when Whitis lost control of her vehicle and departed the roadway, her car coming to rest on its roof. She was hurt in the accident, but only with minor injuries, and will be charged by State Patrol with DUI.

At about 3:00am, a car driven by Morales, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, crashed into a control box and tranformer at an intersection, which took out the power for the traffic lights.

Intoxicated driving is a factor in a rollover accident that injured a man in north Yakima this morning. Adrian Hernandez, 19, of Union Gap was driving on U.S. Highway 12 at about 4:30 a.m., when he exited on North First Street.
