UPDATE: Police Release Names of Individuals Involved in Fatal Route 33 Accident

State police have released the names of the people involved in a "wrong way" head-on collision on Route 33 in Upshur County. They said he was driving the wrong way on Route 33 when he hit another truck head-on. According to Upshur County 911, the accident occurred at 3:30 p.m on Route 33 westbound, near Swamp Run Road. The black pickup hit a red GMC pickup, driven by James Daugherty of Buckhannon, while Daugherty was heading west on U.S. Route 33 toward Lewis County. Both lanes of Route 33 westbound are currently closed, according to the West Virginia Department of Transportation.
