Officials ID Baraboo woman killed in crash with semi

A 70-year-old Baraboo woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a semitrailer in Sauk County Wednesday, officials said. Officers said the two vehicles, a Nissan Maxima and a Kenworth semi, were going east on Highway 33 with the semi behind the Maxima. The driver of the Maxima, 70-year-old Christine Collins, was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. The Maxima pulled off the highway and completed a U turn into the path of the semi, according to the release. Officials said drugs, alcohol and issues with the highway do not appear to be factors in the crash.
