DASH CAM: Wausau man charged with dragging police officer during alleged fleeing attempt
Due to Latz's suspected level of intoxication and injury, officers attempted to stop Latz. One officer was dragged an estimated 15 yards by Latz's vehicle while attempting to stop the vehicle. The officer reported while attempting to put Latz's car in park, Latz pulled out of the parking lot and continued driving. The officer became stuck and had to run along side the vehicle while it was moving. The officer was able to eventually free himself.
