The latest wreck on a metro Atlanta freeway system that features names such as Spaghetti Junction, Peach Passes and HOT lanes involved a ham jam.
A truck hauling 40,000 pounds of hams overturned, spilling the cargo onto an interstate ramp south of Atlanta. Authorities were working early Thursday to clear the ramp from Old National Highway to Interstate 85 southbound after the crash around 4 a.m.
The cab of the truck was destroyed in the crash, which also caused a diesel fuel spill.

A pedestrian was struck and killed Tuesday morning on a Gwinnett County interstate ramp.
The incident happened about 6:30 a.m. on the collector/distributor ramp from Ga. 20/Buford Drive to I-85 northbound, Gwinnett police said.
Police said the man, who was possibly homeless, crossed the southbound lanes of the interstate, then the northbound lanes, and was hit while crossing the northbound ramp.
Investigators have a possible identification on the man, but will not release his name until relatives are notified.
Gwinnett County Police Accident Investigation Unit is currently investigating a fatal multi-vehicle accident that occurred Monday on Ronald Reagan Parkway near Five Forks Trickum Road that closed all lanes in both directions.
Three vehicles were involved in the incident. One of the drivers died at the scene as a result of the accident. One child was transported to Scottish Rite Pediatric Hospital for treatment. No further information about other injuries or the extent of injuries has been released.
An off-duty Atlanta police officer was struck by a vehicle while working to help a stranded motorist on Interstate 285 late Monday night.
The officer, who has not been identified, was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Information at the scene was limited, but the officer was said to be 'alert and breathing' when he was taken to the hospital.
Authorities are expected to comment further on the officer's condition later this afternoon.
A three-vehicle crash in Fulton County has left three people injured - one of them critically - according to authorities.
The crash happened at in the 7200 block of Campbellton Road at about 6 a.m. Friday.
The road at the crash scene was shut down. One of the people involved was airlifted to a hospital. The other two sustained lesser injuries but were taken for treatment.
All southbound lanes of Interstate 75 in Henry County were closed for several hours Wednesday after a box truck and another vehicle collided.
The accident happened around 11 a.m., just north of the Jonesboro Road exit.
Authorities said the commercial box truck was traveling south in the far right lane and a Dodge Magnum was traveling in the far left lane.
The box truck made an improper turn into the Dodge Magnum, causing a collision. Both vehicles then traveled through the guard rail.
A woman was injured Wednesday morning when her car collided with a fire vehicle in a downtown Atlanta intersection.
The wreck happened at Edgewood Avenue and Bell Street.
“They were on a fire call and were only about two blocks from the fire station,” stated an Atlanta Fire Dept. Spokesperson.. “They came through the intersection and everything was clear, and the next thing they know, they were struck by a Honda Accord.”
