A Fresno man has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter in connection with a crash on a Central Valley road that killed four people, including two children. The Fresno Bee reports that 43-year-old Rien Ban was booked into Fresno County Jail after Sunday afternoon's crash near Mendota. The California Highway Patrol says Ban tried to pass a slower vehicle in his SUV and smashed into a Kia. A woman and two boys riding in the Kia died.
