Gainesville, FLA 21-year-old woman died Wednesday night after her vehicle exited the road and struck a tree along State Road 24 in Levy County. Olivia Shanice Ricketts of Lake Park was traveling south at 11:15 p.m. when she lost control of her 2006 Nissan Sentra and struck a tree near Wekiva Road. It is not known what caused the driver to lose control.
James T. Lowman killed in hit-and-run pedestrian accident on County Road 337 near Morriston, Florida

Gainesville, FLJames T. Lowman was walking in the road as a vehicle was traveling southbound on CR 337, striking Lowman and throwing him onto the shoulder. Lowman died at the scene.

Gainesville, FLCarlos Ayello Zamora was headed east on County Road 335 when he lost control on a curve, left the road, and was thrown from the 2000 BMW motorcycle. He was taken to UF Health Shands Hospital where he was listed in serious condition.
