Route 272 in Lancaster County near Willow Street is open following a fatal crash early Monday involving mules and three vehicles.

The crash happened about 6 a.m. Monday when two mules were struck in the southbound lanes just south of Willow Street.

The vehicle that struck the mules crossed into the northbound lanes and was hit by two vehicles.

The 19-year-old male driver of the vehicle that struck the mules was killed. One of mules was killed and the other was injured and later put down.

A Waite Park man is dead after a three-vehicle crash in Benton County on Thanksgiving Day.
A vehicle driven by Ahmed Abdulle, 35, of Waite Park failed to yield at a stop sign while headed south on Highway 10 near Country Road 33, According to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Abdulle’s vehicle hit northbound traffic and was hit by another vehicle driven by a 20-year-old woman from Onamia.
Abdulle died and two others suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Around midnight, Krystal Singletary was driving inbound on 290 with her dog in the car when she lost control and hit a wall causing the car to roll.

She survived the crash and got out of the car because it was stuck on its side in the middle of the freeway.

At the same time a family driving on 290 didn't see the woman in the middle of the road and hit her, pinning her and the dog in between the two cars.

A 41-year-old woman was killed late Thursday when the vehicle she was driving fell off I-84 and landed on a road below after a crash with another vehicle, state police said.

The woman has been identified as Marie White.

White was driving a 2003 Saab west on the highway when it collided with a westbound 1998 Nissan Maxima near Exit 48, state police said.

White's vehicle went over the concrete barrier and landed on the Capitol Avenue ramp leading onto I-84 westbound, state police said. She was pronounced dead at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

A collision in Mount Airy left two men dead early Thursday, according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.

The victims were identified as Ricky Louis Wean, 25, of New Windsor, and Christopher Gerald Goldzwig, 23, of Keymar.

Shortly before 1 a.m., Wean was driving a Honda Prelude north on Buffalo Road just south of Old Bohn Road, according to a news release. Goldzwig was the passenger. Wean passed the vehicle in front of him on a double-yellow line, then lost control of the vehicle, which spun.

A Colorado man has died in western Kansas when the car he was driving hit an embankment after a brief police chase.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 34-year-old Gerad F. Madrid of Colorado Springs died in the crash early Thursday.

Police were seeking Madrid briefly after he was seen driving without headlights and going the wrong way on a one-way street. Officers say the car also nearly struck a patrol car. The officers pursued the car with their lights and sirens on.

Madrid was pronounced dead at the scene after the car he was in ran a stop sign and ran into a canal.

A Rock Hill woman is dead after a crash Thursday afternoon on Interstate 77 near Highway 160.

South Carolina Highway Patrol says 38 year old Lawanda Pressley's SUV ran off the interstate and hit a tree.

There's no word yet what caused the crash. Troopers are still investigating.

A Springfield Police Department cadet has been identified as the victim of a fatal Thanksgiving morning crash in the city.

Investigators say a car driven by 23-year-old Max Moran went out of control, struck a fire hydrant and went airborne, ejecting Moran at about 4 a.m. Thursday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Moran had been a cadet about a year.

The Air Force said Thursday that the serviceman killed in an accident on U.S. 1 in Cary was a sergeant assigned to Pope Army Air Field at Fort Bragg.

Tech. Sgt. Eduardo R. Rivas, 33, died Wednesday morning when a car hit him while he was checking damage to his own car after skidding on the road about 5:40 a.m. on the northbound side of the road near the U.S. 64 interchange.

Rivas was assigned to the 682nd Air Support Operations Squadron, 18th Air Support Operations Group, Air Combat Command, a spokesman said.

He lived in Moore County.

Utah Highway Patrol says a fatal accident occurred about 3:10 p.m. Thursday near the mouth of Parleys Canyon.

Steven T. Parker, 46, died after veering his 2005 black Cadillac Escalade SUV off northbound I-215 East by the ramp to take I-80 east. The vehicle went up an embankment, vaulted over the bridge at 3000 South and hit a light pole before landing on the northside embankment of westbound I-80 and catching on fire.
