Atlanta, GATwo people have died after a private jet went down in northwest Atlanta Tuesday evening.
The Raytheon 390 Premier I multi-engine plane went down shortly after taking off from Fulton County Airport.
The plane, registered to an Atlanta-area company, was en route to New Orleans, La.
The plane crashed near the 2200 block of Thomas Road, near the Chattahoochee River in the northwest part of the city.
UPDATE: The pilot of the aircraft has been identified as Peter J. Mallen. 12/18/13.
