Minnesota Vikings Linebacker Erin Henderson has been arrested on suspicion of DWI, according to the Carver County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota Vikings. Deputies received a report of a black SUV speeding and "driving all over the road" on Wednesday. Shortly after the call deputies received additional information of a single-vehicle crash at the Park and Ride near the intersection of Highway 101 and County Road 61 in Chanhassen.

Thirteen people were injured, six critically, early Wednesday morning after an explosion caused a major fire at a grocery store and apartment building in the bustling Cedar-Riverside neighborhood in south Minneapolis. At a morning news conference the Minneapolis Fire Chief said they do not know yet if all the residents are accounted for. Some made it out on their own into the subzero temperatures, but others had to be rescued with ladders.

A 23-year-old Nisswa, Minn., man was killed in a broadside collision Friday in central Minnesota, the State Patrol said.

Lucas A. Johnson, a passenger in a car, was killed in a collision with a van.

The State Patrol said Cody D. Husemoller, 20, of Duluth, was driving south on Hwy. 10 in Royalton, which is in Morrison County, when the accident occurred on the wet, divided road just before 11 a.m.

A 63-year-old man from Shafer, Minn., died in a snowmobile accident on Saturday, according to the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office. Dennis Holt was killed as he moved a snowmobile on private property about 11:20 a.m. near Shafer, in Franconia Township. The snowmobile accelerated rapidly, striking a car-hauling trailer parked nearby, the Sheriff’s Office said. Holt was not familiar with the snowmobile, which was different from most because a lefthanded throttle had been installed. That appears to have contributed to the accident, the Sheriff’s Office said.

A pedestrian was killed Friday night in Itasca County.

That man was trying to cross Hwy. 46 near his Squaw Lake home in Itasca County, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

Keith J. Rogers, 33, had just been dropped off by his uncle and was crossing the highway when struck by a car driven by Carl T. Fugleberg, 57, of Byron, the patrol said.

Fugleberg was southbound on Hwy. 46 when the accident happened at 8:17 p.m., at mile post 27. He was not seriously injured. Rogers died at the scene.

A 55-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car on the border of Minneapolis and Brooklyn Center Friday night and died shortly after at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, police said Saturday. The driver, an 18-year-old woman, was heading northwest on Osseo Road and hit the woman, who was crossing N. 49th Avenue, said a Minneapolis police spokeswoman. The victim was wearing a dark-red coat, and the driver, who was believed to be driving at or near the posted speed limit, never saw the victim in the darkness police said.

Emergency crews worked through the night to clear eastbound I-94 near the Hudson Bridge after multiple vehicle crashes that left some injured and other motorists caught in traffic for hours.

At about 9 p.m. Monday, a vehicle spun out, causing a semitrailer truck to jackknife, hit a guardrail and tip over, authorities on the scene said. Two other vehicles then hit the semi, which was badly damaged.

Some people were taken to an area hospital for injuries, but authorities reached at midnight said they didn’t know how many or the extent of their injuries.

Two cars crashed head-on in northwestern Minnesota, leaving both drivers dead, authorities said. The collision in Norman County occurred shortly after 2:10 p.m. Thursday on Hwy. 32 north of Gary, according to the State Patrol. Killed were James E. Bateson, 66, of Gary, and Doris J. Hanson, 76, of Brooks, Minn. The crash happened when a southbound car driven by Hanson swerved into the northbound lane and struck Bateson’s car, the patrol added. The two-lane highway’s surface was dry at the time, the patrol said.

A school bus struck and seriously injured a man walking along a frontage road Thursday morning in St. Cloud, authorities said. Andrew J. Boedigheimer, 20, of St. Cloud, was hit shortly after 7 a.m. in the 600 block of Roosevelt Road, west of Cooper Avenue, according to police. There were no students on the bus, which serves the St. Cloud School District, and the driver was uninjured, police added. Boedigheimer was taken to by ambulance to St. Cloud Hospital for what treatment of what police characterized as “substantial injuries.

A 68-year-old Cokato woman died Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision north of Howard Lake in Middleville Township. Barbara Cochran was a passenger in a 2002 Dodge Caravan driven by Warren Gammel, 59, of Becker, according to the Wright County sheriff. She was pronounced dead at Allina Hospital, Buffalo. The two-vehicle collision was reported at 3:10 p.m. at the intersection of Wright County Road 35 West and Wright County Road 6 Southwest.
