58-year-old Wilbert Strozier, of Ashford, was killed when he was struck by a 2003 Chevy Silverado. The accident occurred around 7:05 a.m. along Lucy Grady Road just outside Dothan city limits. Stozier was taken to Southeast Alabama Medical Center where he later died. The driver of the vehicle, a Cottonwood teenager, was uninjured in the crash.
A 16-year-old boy from Mobile has been seriously injured following an early morning hit-and-run accident on Sunday around 1 a.m. in Auburn. A dark colored pick-up truck traveling in the 600 block of West Magnolia Avenue struck three teenagers walking along the roadway. The driver of the truck did not stop. The boy was taken by helicopter to Columbus Regional Medical Center. The two other pedestrians, both 17-year-old girls from Mobile, were treated and released at the scene.
