The multi-part crash began at about 6:03pm when a pickup truck driven by Kingbird, 51, with Hawk, 47, as a passenger veered over the center line into oncoming traffic and struck a car driven by Lindstrom, 23. Kingbird's truck then proceeded to collide head-on with another vehicle driven by Karen Mix, 27, with Brooke Mix, 4, Fineday, 28, and Garbow, 25 as passengers. Everyone in the crash was injured, including Fineday who remains in critical condition. Check back for updates and more details on this accident.

According to the MSP, at around 8:54 a.m. in Stearns County a Chrysler 300M came off of I-94 westbound and turned left into the eastbound lane of Highway 23.

Deputies say 34-year-old Misty Petschl was driving on County Road 10 when she lost control of her Dodge Caravan and slid into oncoming traffic. Her minivan was struck on the driver’s side by a GMC Yukon driven by 59-year-old David Splettstoeszer of Waconia.  Petschl’s 8-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter were also in the vehicle with her at the time of the collision, and they were all transported to Hennepin County Medical Center, where Misty Petschl died around 9 p.m. Saturday. Her daughter, Jazmine, also later died from her injuries. The son, Spencer, remains hospitalized.

Three teenagers, ages 14, 15, and 16, suffered minor injuries Tuesday morning following a rollover accident near Aurora, Minnesota. The incident occured around 1:00 a.m. when the car, traveling at a high speed, went around a corner at the 4800 block of East Bodas Road in White Township, and rolled into the ditch. Charges are expected to be pressed on the driver, who was driving without a license. No alcohol was involved.

The Minnesota State Patrol says two people have died in a car crash that also injured at least three people. A 12-year-old and 9-year-old from Worthington sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The driver of their vehicle, David Schulz, was seriously injured and was taken to a Robbinsdale hospital.

Six people, including three children, were seriously hurt after a major accident involving at least two vehicles in St. Paul on Wednesday, St. Paul Police say. The crash was reported near Maryland Avenue East and Johnson Parkway around 8:45 p.m. St. Paul police say 23-year-old Jim Xion was driving with one passenger. According to police, Xion collided with 44-year-old Tou Lee, who had his three children in the car. Lee and his 10-year-old son were ejected. All victims were taken to Regions Hospital and were in serious condition when they arrived Wednesday, police said.

A 7-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was hit by a car in Central Minnesota on Monday morning. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 21900 block of County Road 7 in St. Augusta around 7:26 a.m. Monday on a report of a crash. According to the sheriff, the boy was crossing the street to get onto a school bus when he was hit by a 2004 Pontiac Bonneville driven by 60-year-old Margaret Hartnick of St. Augusta. The school bus was southbound on County Road 7 and was picking up three kids at that address, and the Pontiac was heading northbound.

The Minnesota State Patrol is identifying the four people killed Friday near Sleepy Eye on icy roads. It happened on Highway 14 in Brown County just after 8 p.m. A 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix was headed westbound on Highway 14, going into a curve heading southbound, when it lost control and entered into the opposite lane of traffic. It was hit broadside by a 1999 Dodge Ram headed northbound into the curve.

We are learning new details after a school bus stolen by a 14-year-old boy crashed into a Roseville gas station Monday morning. The theft happened around 7:50 a.m. while the bus was parked on a side road with the keys inside and running near a Holiday Inn on the corner of Rice Street and Wheelock Parkway in St. Paul, according to police.

A school bus driver was swaying with poor balance and smelling of alcohol when Winona County authorities responded to a crash. The bus, with five children on board, had gone off the wrong side of Fern Valley Road near Altura and crashed into trees. Karl A. Herber, 54, of Rollingstone, Minn., was charged with three counts of drunken driving and child endangerment after registering a .09 blood-alcohol level when tested more than two hours after the crash Tuesday afternoon, the Winona County Chief Deputy.
