One person is dead after a head-on collision in Stearns County Saturday morning.

The driver of the van, 43-year-old Joseph Schramel, and his 12-year-old daughter, Elizabeth Schramel, also sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Monticello teen headed to funeral killed in crash

Lehner was from Monticello and was headed for the funeral of a friend who died after being struck by a train.

According to the MSP, at around 8:54 a.m. in Stearns County a Chrysler 300M came off of I-94 westbound and turned left into the eastbound lane of Highway 23. A Ford Econoline van was eastbound in the left lane of Highway 23, and the vehicles struck off-set head on. The driver of the Chrysler, Ashley Gieseke of Big Lake, sustained non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the van, Joseph Schramel, and his 12-year-old daughter Elizabeth Schramel, both of Belgrade, also sustained non-life threatening injuries. Megan Lehner of Monticello, a passenger in the Chrysler, died at the scene of the accident.
