Phoenix, AZInvestigators are trying to figure out what caused a small plane to crash in Mohave County, killing two brothers on board.
Mohave County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Trish Carter said the pilot, Daulton Rey Whatcott, 19, was flying with his brother, Jaxon McKee Whatcott, 16, from Bountiful, UT to Mesquite, NV.
The 1969 Cessna 172k fixed-wing single engine went down about 150 feet south of Interstate 15 in Littlefield, near the Utah border about 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Deputies confirmed the brothers did not survive the crash. They're from Clinton City, UT.
No one else was onboard.

Phoenix, AZA driver involved in a hit-and-run accident that critically injured two children in another vehicle last month in Chandler has pleaded not guilty in the case.
Maricopa County prosecutors say 43-year-old Nathan Joseph Painter entered his plea Monday. His next scheduled court appearance is Jan. 14.
Chandler police arrested Painter on suspicion of aggravated assault, endangerment and hit-and-run charges in the Oct. 26 crash.
Authorities say Painter apparently lost control of his pickup truck, ran off a road and collided with the rear of a car on another road. The car rolled twice.
