Elizabeth Slabaugh, 84, and her 14-year-old granddaughter were travelling northbound on M-51 at Pennsylvania Road when a car driven by Sally Lundy, 64, and her 3-year-old grandaughter pulled out in front of her, resulting in a head-on collision. Slabaugh had to be extrivated from her vehicle. She was sent to South Bend Memorial Hospital. All other parties were treated and released at the site of the accident. A woman has died after the car she was driving crashed head-on with a garbage truck south of St. Charles, the Saginaw County Sheriff's Department reports. The crash happened about 10:17 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, on highway M-52, also known as Graham, south of St. Charles and north of Ring, Saginaw County Central Dispatch reports. "A Billy's trash truck was involved and that was going southbound when a northbound vehicle came around the curve and went into the southbound lane and hit the truck head-on," a Saginaw County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Mark said.
