The suspect fled on foot after the crash and was arrested about two hours later near the Paragon Chateau movie theater in northeast Rochester, about 5 miles from the scene of the accident. Authorities believe the 57-year-old Rochester man was under the influence of alcohol, says Sgt. Dan Monnet. A 29-year-old woman and two juvenile passengers transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys Campus for treatment; the extent of their injuries is unknown.

At least one person is dead after a crash in Forest Lake on Friday. According to the State Patrol, a 2001 BMW Z3 was driving eastbound on Highway 97 at Iden Avenue and crossed the center line, hitting a westbound GMC Sierra on the side, and finally hitting a westbound 2013 Chevrolet Silverado head-on.

The Minnesota State Patrol says two men were killed when one of them drove the wrong way on an interstate in southern Minnesota. The crash happened shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 35 near Albert Lea near the Iowa border. The patrol says 46-year-old Kirt Schmidt of Owatonna was traveling south in the northbound lanes and collided with a car driven by 28-year-old James Winnes, of Albert Lea. Winnes' vehicle was pushed into a semi.
