Steven Gove, a 56-year-old mail carrier, was on his delivery route when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver. Gove was wearing a neon reflective vest and his three-wheeled delivery bike had front and rear flashers on. He became lodged in the windshield and the driver continued to drive. Gove says that he turned to the driver and said, "Hello, I'm the guy you hit on the bicycle."  The driver, a 20-year-old man, failed to notice and continued driving, running a stop sign and hitting another vehicle before returning home. The driver noticed Gove when he got home.

A 31-year-old Racine man is charged in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian. Charges allege that Bradley Hayek was driving of a car that hit a man Thursday night in Racine. Hayek then fled the crash site. The victim, 45-year-old Robert Castaneda, died at a nearby hospital. Hayek was arrested just a few blocks from the site. He faces charges, including homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and bail jumping charges.

A van that held eight people was found in a ditch off of I-94. The two victims who died were pronounced dead at the scene, while the six who were injured have already been taken to local hospitals, treated for non-life threatening injuries, and released. A car with frontal damage was discovered, and the owner, Michael Sonnentag, was found and taken into custody.

DeAngelis, of Winneconne, was stopped at a train crossing when a vehicle driven by Ronnfeldt struck him from behind. His car rolled over and he was declared dead at the scene. Ronnfeldt subsequently fled and was discoverd by police hiding behind a tree, after which he failed a sobriety test.

Benjamin E. Wealti was arrested after striking and injuring a pedestrian on West North Street, then driving into an active construction area and getting stuck in a ditch. He was charged with another third-offense OWI in April that is still pending.

A wrong-way driver had been pulled over by a state trooper before fleeing still heading southbound in the northbound lanes of I-94, near Highway 142, in Kenosha, Wisconsin and crashing head-on into a truck heading in the right direction. The driver of the truck struck by the fleeing driver died, and its passenger suffered serious injuries. The driver of the fleeing truck sustained injuries deemed life-threatening, and another passenger escaped with less serious injuries.
