Police responded to a crash on Church Road at about 12:15am, where they found a pickup truck that had caught fire and noticed that there was a motorcycle stuck underneath the vehicle. Later, police received another report of a crash at M-82 U.S. 131, where they discovered an injured 58-year-old man who has not been identified. The man appeared as though he had been driving a motorcycle, though it was nowhere near him. Eventually authorities determined that the driver of the pickup truck must have collided with motorcyclist at M-82 and U.S.

A man is accused of setting two houses on fire on 4th Street and F Street, which fortunately had no one in them at the time. After commiting arson, the suspect backed his car up to the front doors of a Good and Quick convenience store then slammed on the gas, causing the car to blast backwards into the store and nearly strike two people. The man then sped away at speeds of up to 80 mph.

A car crashed into a house in the 2400 block of Vollintine Ave, causing both the car and the home to catch fire. The vehicle was driven by an 11-year-old boy, who reportedly got the car from his uncle. He was brought to a medical center in non-critical condition. The circumstances surrounding the accident are still unknown. No names have been released.

Two people were hospitalized for injuries after the "flying car" they were testing crashed and caught fire at the Dunnellon Airport. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are not responding to this incident because they reportedly "do not recognize this as an aircraft." More information as it becomes available.
