Huntsville-Decatur, ALA van from Growing Smiles Learning Daycare and a minivan were involved in an accident at the intersection of Pine Grove Road and Wall Triana Highway. Two children were sent to the mergency room as a precaution. Alabama state troopers, Madison County sheriff's deputies, and Monrovia fire crews, and a HEMSI ambulance responded to the scene. All the children involved were wearing seatbelts. The driver of the minivan sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital.

Huntsville-Decatur, ALOne woman was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Troopers estimate it could take as long as 7 hours to clear the scene from the debris and the truck contents, which was carrying animal feed at the time of the wreck. Leaking fuel was a concern, and a hazardous materials team was on the scene.
