Dayton, OHAngel Rojas, 19, was driving a car with four other passengers on Columbia Avenue when he somehow lost control of the vehicle, departed the roadway, and struck a utility pole. The collision killed two of the backseat passengers, identified as Tristin Sherman, 18, and Juan Compton, 21, who were pronounced dead at the scene. The other backseat passenger, Devin B. Moore, 19, has been hospitalized with serious injuries, while Ashley N. Predmore, 18, sustained minor injuries.

Dayton, OHJessica Crim of Springfield was killed and her brother was seriously hurt in after a Ford Focus struck a tree just after 11 a.m. on Old Columbus Road in Harmony Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Jessica Crim of Springfield, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Springfield Post. The driver, Daniel Crim, was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by squad despite requests for a medical helicopter to the Clark County crash site; the request could not be fulfilled due to harsh conditions. Columbus, OHIt was about 7:39am when a car driven by Rohde drifted into the oncoming lane of US 22 NW and collided with a dump truck driven by James M. Taylor, 31. Police believe that a combination of the below-freezing temperatures and blowing snow that were present at the time contributed to Rohde losing control. Taylor was uninjured in the crash, but Rohde was declared dead at the scene.

Columbus, OHA crash in Knox County left one person dead and several others injured Thursday. At about 8:43 p.m. Thursday, 55-year-old Sandra Alnutt, of Butler, Ohio, stopped her vehicle due to slick road conditions on state Route 3. A 2005 Dodge Caravan driven by 36-year-old Kyle Martin, of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, lost control on the ice-covered road and collided with the Jeep. The front passenger in the van, 34-year-old Mellissa Martin, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Columbus, OHA 13-year-old Circleville boy died in a crash on icy roads in Pickaway County early yesterday.
Zachary Manns was a passenger in his mother’s car when it slid on icy roads at 8:08 a.m. on a curve on Stoutsville Pike in Washington Township, east of Circleville. His mother, 36-year-old Kristy Stone, was driving eastbound when the car slid and she went left of center, said the commander of the Circleville Post of the State Highway Patrol.
Stone’s Grand Prix was hit by a westbound Geo Tracker driven by F.D. Easterday, 75, of Stoutsville.

Columbus, OHA woman and her 1-year-old child were injured in a three-vehicle crash in Union County Thursday afternoon.
Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the crash involving two passenger vehicles and a semi on state Route 31, just south of state Route 739, at about 2:40 p.m.
