5 killed in 2-car crash in Macon Co. on Saturday

Macon County Sheriff Andre Brunson confirms 5 people have died in an car accident along Highway 80 East in Macon County on Saturday.

Sources say it happened around the 184 mile marker, about 4 miles from 29 South. Brunson believes 2 more were life flighted with injuries.

Lone survivor in fiery Alabama DUI crash that killed 5 now jailed

A Macon County grand jury on Sept. 13, 2017, issued a five-count indictment charging him with manslaughter, which is a felony. That indictment, made public this week following his Dec. 28 arrest in Virginia, said he was driving under the influence of alcohol when the deadly crash happened.
