Jacksonville, FLSamuel C. Granger II was riding on a horse on Ratliff Road when both he and the horse were struck by a car driven by Alinda Butz. Granger then fell off the horse and it continued running in the road without its rider and was struck again by another vehicle driven by Eve Czigan, 23. The horse died at the scene. Granger was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Jacksonville, FLCasey Love Kelly was going southbound on US 301 before striking a stopped box truck that was behind both a Honda SUV and a school bus waiting to unload students. Kelly was declared dead at the scene of the crash, and the 2-year-old girl in the car was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. No one in any other of the vehicle involved was hurt.
