A horse died after being struck by two vehicles in Nassau County Sunday night, while the horse’s rider also was injured.
Dead horse left on road for 12 hours after accident
“People come up and down this road all the time. People live here. It's crazy that it was 12 hours and nobody found it,” Chariti Sell of Callahan said.
Samuel C. Granger II was riding on a horse on Ratliff Road when both he and the horse were struck by a car driven by Alinda Butz. Granger then fell off the horse and it continued running in the road without its rider and was struck again by another vehicle driven by Eve Czigan, 23. The horse died at the scene. Granger was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
