Phoenix, AZJeremy Bustos dies and an Avondale police officer is in critical condition after Bustos joyrides a stolen truck into a collision with a police car at 111th Avenue and Durango Street in Avondale, Arizona. Bustos is alleged to have assaulted a city employee and stolen their truck, joyriding it into a police chase that ended with Bustos carying a machette and a pocket knife, refusing to cooperate and being shot twice by police. The officer in the car that Bustos struck had to be extracted and was airlifted to St. Joseph Hospital in critical condition.

Fresno-Visalia, CAOmar Jason Spencer and Halyma Beana Alzanbaai, 22 also known as Venita Patsy Jackson, were speeding on Highway 99 near Madera in a stolen BMW when they crashed into the back of a big-rig. The BMW rolled and ejected the two people, killing them at the scene. The pair are alleged to be involved in a string of armed robberies along International Boulevard.

Friday, September 12, 2014The chase began when an officer was pulling over the truck for a tail light being out. After the fiery crash, both the driver of the pickup and the deputy in the car that was crashed into were taken to the hospital. Officers later found out that the truck was stolen.

Los Angeles, CAA driver fleeing police Friday collided head-on with another car, bailed out on foot, then failed to scale a fence before throwing himself to the ground and surrendering to police.
The suspect has been identified as 34-year-old Carl Smith.
The pursuit started just before 3 p.m. near Florence Avenue and Flower Street in South Los Angeles, police said.
The pursuit wound through streets for about 30 minutes. At one point the vehicle nearly hit a truck.
The chase transitioned to the Century (105) Freeway, clocking speeds of 100, before going back onto the streets.

Milwaukee, WIMilwaukee police said a 16-year-old boy is dead after a crash early Thursday.
The crash happened around 1:20 a.m. near North 33rd Street and Capitol Drive.
Police said the 2004 Jeep he was in was traveling east on Capitol Drive when it left the roadway and struck a tree in the median.
Police said they are trying to determine whether he was driving or there were other people in the SUV that left the scene.
The Jeep was reported stolen on Jan. 14.
