Sometime in the morning, a car traveling at a slow speed near North 143rd Street and Evanston Avenue North somehow crashed and landed on it's side, trapping the woman who was driving it inside. Firefighters rescued the woman by removing the roof of her car, and she was safely removed and had only minor injuries.

A 26-year-old woman died in a crash on Interstate 90 just before 7 a.m. Wednesday when she fell asleep while driving and her vehicle rolled over. Giselle Naughton, of Seattle, was traveling east about 24 miles west of Ritzville with her boyfriend and three-year-old daughter when she exited the roadway after falling asleep. She was pronounced deceased at the site.

Larhonda Cambrielle Brown was driving on U.S. 231 when her vehicle collided head-on with a tractor-trailer. She and her two children were taken to an area medical center with they all died of their injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured. The accident is still under investigation.

A Denham Springs family driving home from a New Year’s Eve church event were in a head-on collision that left three people dead and two others hospitalized. At about 8:15 p.m., a Mazda sedan driven by Trinity Kiger, 24, of Satsuma, crossed the center line of Walker Road North and smashed head-on into a SUV driven by Ronald Chisholm, 38. Kiger was killed, and Chisholm and his daughter Haley, 14, suffered moderate injuries. His wife, Shannon Chisholm, 37, died shortly after the collision, as did their daughter, Hannah Chisholm, 11, who was seated in the center back seat.

Dan Powers of Harrison, was the lone victim in a single-vehicle accident New Year's Eve after he lost control of his pick-up truck on East Miami River Road and struck a tree in Colerain Township. Impairment is not believed to have been a factor.

One woman has been confirmed deceased after a car that veered to avoid a head-on collision at Marine Drive and Northeast 85th Avenue on Wednesday ended up in the Columbia River. Portland police identified the victim as Melissa Parke, 46, of Portland. Another driver called 911 around 7:30 p.m. to report that a car had entered the water off Marine Drive near the airport. Investigators believe the car either swerved or drifted off the roadway.

Juan Linares, 31, was driving east on I-90 in a car with Chavez, a 10-month-old boy, and an 11-year-old girl as passengers when he somehow lost control, departed the highway and struck the median before re-entering the road. Upon re-entry, Linares' car collided with a semi-truck driven by Russell Lanman, 58. Only Chavez was injured in the crash, though the extent of her injuries is not yet known.5 things to do immediately after a serious accident

Just before 10:00pm, a 45-year-old man driving on Highway 20 crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old man head-on. Both drivers sustained multiple fractures in the collision, but the 45-year-old man was knocked unconsious and had injuries that were considered life-threatening, while the 18-year-old man was conscious but still in serious condition. We will update this accident as more information is released.

Police have identified the victims of a Tuesday morning fatal car collision as Ghislain B. Cloutier, 49, and his son, Casey, 14, of Winthrop. The Cloutier's silver 2007 Honda Accord, traveling on Route 202 near Leeds Junction Road around 8:11 a.m. was involved in a crash with a 2003 Ford Explorer driven by Ralph Ryder Jr., 59, of Livermore. Both Cloutiers died at the crash site. Ryder was transported to Central Maine Medical Center and is listed in stable condition. The accident is under investigation.

Three people died Tuesday in a head-on collision in Dade City, Florida before noon on U.S. 301. Beaudoin Oredore, 86, of East Windsor, Connecticut, was driving a 2014 Buick Enclave south on U.S. 301, while Walter Kenneth Roe, 74, of Brooksville, was driving northbound. Oredore lost control of his vehicle and drove across the grass median and into the northbound lanes, crashing into Roe's Ford Explorer. Oredore and his passenger, Nannie Sue Couch, 74, of Flint, Michigan, were pronounced deceased at the crash site.
