Tampa-St. Petersburg, FL44-year-old Luis Manuel Sanchez was driving south on a U.S. 19 service road at around 11:00 p.m. when he collided with a power pole. He was found dead at the scene, and live power lines were strewn across the roadway.

Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLRobin O'Keefe, 28, was hit by a pickup truck and killed as she walked on U.S. 19 in Auburndale Wednesday night. around 10:15 p.m. She was hit by an eastbound white Ford F-150 whose driver, 57-year-old William Brant of Lakeland, did stop and render aid. Other motorists also assisted, but O'Keefe died at the scene. It has not yet been reported how the collision occurred.

Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLA Spring Hill man, Gary Alan Hetman, 49, died Wednesday morning following a hit-and-run accident in Holiday, Florida. The accident occured on U.S. 19 and Mile Stretch Drive, where Hetman walked west across U.S. 19 when he was hit by a southbound driver. Hetman was declared dead at the scene. A red BMW is possibly involved in the crash.

Jacksonville, FLWhen a man accidentally drove his car into a retention pond by the Walmart on Monday afternoon, two men jumped into the water and swam to the sinking vehicle. According to the Palatka Police Department, they freed the 68-year-old driver from his seat belt, got him out of the vehicle and pulled him to shore.
