One person died after a series of wrecks involving more than 100 vehicles on Interstate 25.

Multiple cars were involved in a crash along Interstate 25 and Logan Street Saturday morning, killing one person, police said.

Police said in a tweet that the crash, which happened around 11 a.m., involved over 30 vehicles in the northbound lanes and closed I-25.

Denver Health said on Twitter that they received multiple patients from the crash.

During a media briefing at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon, a chief paramedic at Denver Heath, said 20 individuals had been transported to the hospital plus one fatality.

He added that paramedics have stayed on the scene to see if there are more injuries and to keep involved parties on buses to stay warm at the accident site.

A Saturday snow storm brought freezing temperatures and a fresh inch of snow to the metro area.

Traffic along the highway was at a standstill while the crash was cleared.

One person, later identified as Matthew Scott 39, of Tualatin, died in a crash in snow on Interstate 5 near Ridgefield, Wash. Thursday, state police said.

Snowfall was widespread in Clark County, causing numerous crashes that halted traffic on I-5 north of Vancouver, as well as along State Route 503 through Battle Ground.

County crews are out in force, spraying deicer and trying to clear snow with plows.

Vancouver Public Works has 17 vehicles outfitted with combination plows and deicers to handle both snow and icy conditions.

One person was killed Thursday afternoon in a multiple-vehicle accident that shut down eastbound I-94 near Michigan City, Indiana police said.

The crash involved seven semi-trailer trucks and several other passenger vehicles, police said. Other injuries were reported, but the extent of the injures is not yet known.

Police did not immediately release details on the cause of the crash at mile marker 36 in LaPorte County, but weather may have played a role.

The expressway was closed east of mile marker 34, police said.

A passing snow squall has caused multiple vehicle crashes on Interstate 89 in Vermont.

Vermont State Police said the crashes happened Friday morning between Exits 11 and 15. There were at least eight separate crashes in a one-hour period. One person was taken to the hospital with a back injury.

Police said U.S. 7 in the Pittsford and Brandon area are very slippery, as is U.S. 4 from the town of Rutland to the New York State line in Fair Haven.

One person was killed and four others injured in a weather-related head-on crash Tuesday morning in Spanish Fork Canyon.

Killed was 34-year-old Clinton Lee Logan, of Springville, Utah.

At about 8 a.m., Logan was driving westbound on US Highway 6, about six miles west of Soldiers Summit, when his Honda Civic was struck by an eastbound Infinity carrying two adults and two children, the Utah Highway Patrol reported.

The driver of the Infinity was attempting to pass a semi truck when snow and slush on the roadway obscured the driver’s vision, the UHP said.

A multi-vehicle crash caused some major delays on the Inner Loop of the Beltway Tuesday morning.

Maryland State Police say four vehicles and a tractor-trailer were involved in the accident at the Ritchie Marlboro exit. The Inner Loop was shut down at 6 a.m. and stayed that way for just under an hour.

At least one person was evaluated for injury; there's no word on any additional injuries.

Police have not commented on what may have caused the accident, but an overnight dusting of snow left some roads in the D.C. area slick.

Interstate 55 southbound near Route 47 is closed between the Gardner and Dwight exits.

The Illinois State Police stated that there are multiple crashes along this stretch. One of the crashes involved extrication from a six-vehicle pileup.

Heavy snow is reported in the area.

A motorcyclist was killed Monday on Interstate 70 when he lost control of his bike and fell under the rear wheels of a tractor-trailer.

The crash happened at about 11:20 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the highway between Airport and Tower roads, said Lt. Jeff Turner, an Aurora Police Department spokesman.

The highway was closed until about 5 p.m. for the investigation.
