Vintage race car driver dies at Salisbury festival

Police say during the race the car spun out of control and then crashed. The track was closed for about an hour while the car was removed from the area. Duran later died from his injuries. It’s still unclear what those injuries were or how Duran lost control of the vintage car. That is under investigation.
Duran was driving a vintage car, known as a 1934 MG PA Special for a race that included pre-World War II cars. No other autos were being involved during the once-a-year historic racing pageant in Salisbury.
