Two people were sent to a local hospital following a police chase and collision Friday night in downtown Crawfordsville.
A man, identified later as Zachery Blackwell, 27, of Waveland, was pulled over around 9:30 p.m. for erratic driving. Officials say he fled from police leading police on a chase. He then hit a police vehicle at Main and Washington streets.
Police say they believe the man was wanted out of Putnam County.
The identities of the two people taken to a local hospital were not released.
The police officer hit has been with the Crawfordsville Police Department for 14 years.
