Stephanie R. Kickbush, 26, dies in motorcycle accident on K-99 near Wamego on July 28.

A 26-year-old Wamego woman was killed when her motorcycle and a pickup truck collided Monday afternoon in Pottawatomie County.

Kansas Highway Patrol officials identified the fatality victim as Stephanie R. Kickbush.

According to the patrol, the fatal accident occurred at 3:17 p.m. on K-99 highway about three miles north of Wamego.

The patrol said Kickbush was riding a 2009 Yamaha XT250 motorcycle south on K-99 highway when a 1999 Ford F250 pickup truck was attempting a left-turn across the southbound lanes into a driveway.

The motorcycle struck the pickup truck in the front corner of the passenger side.

Kickbush was taken to Wamego Memorial Hospital, where she died a short time later. The patrol said she was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the pickup truck, Robert Heptig, was reported uninjured. He was wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.
