Two people killed in Gaithersburg crash

Around 4:25am, Montgomery County Fire and Police went to the 22200 block of Woodfield Road an single car accident. Officers found an overturned Ford Explorer.

2 men killed, 1 man injured after SUV crosses lanes and hits a tree in Gaithersburg car crash

Police say an SUV driven by 32-year-old Thomas Christopher Collier of Gaithersburg was traveling south when it crossed into the northbound lanes, left the road and hit a tree. Officers say Collier and 26-year-old Daniel Lee Byron of Gaithersburg were pronounced dead at the scene. Twenty-six-year-old Kobi Assaraf of Rockville was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
The driver and front-seat passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. The rear-seat passenger was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
