Jonathan Bemis killed in single car crash In Brookfield, Mass.

A 27-year-old Brookfield man is dead after a car crash early Saturday morning, according to Massachusetts State Police.

At 1:25 a.m., troopers and officers from the Brookfield Police Department responded to a report of a car crash on Rice Corner Cross Road and Lake Road in Brookfield, according to a statement.

Brookfield Fire Department and EMS responded and declared the driver, identified as Jonathan Bemis, dead. Bemis was the only occupant, and no other cars were involved.

No further information was available, and police are awaiting a report from the State Medical Examiner’s Office the statement said.
