Spartanburg High School teacher James Prescott Hartell, 43, killed and his son, 10, in critical condition following jet ski accident on Lake Bowen, South Carolina

At about 5 p.m. Sunday in the Jeff Woodfin Road area, a jet ski crashed into a dock on Lake Bowen.  James Prescott Hartell, 43, was killed, and his 10-year-old son was airlifted to Spartanburg Medical Center in critical condition. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.
