Northland Avenue Southwest

A 3-year-old boy died after he was struck by a vehicle around 7:20 p.m. near 2120 Northland Avenue Southwest. He was taken to Children's of Alabama, where he later died. The driver who hit the child initially fled the scene, but contacted police within minutes of the incident.
