West Summit Avenue

Emergency crews responded after a train struck a truck in west Charlotte near uptown Wednesday.

The wreck happened on West Summit Avenue around 5 p.m.

One person, later identified as Guy Wiley, Jr., who was later issued a citation, was taken from the scene to an area hospital.
