An average of 586 older adults are injured every day in crashes. And, as thebaby-boomer generation reaches their golden years, this number is likely to go up. In fact, there were almost 36 million older drivers in 2012, which is a 34% increase from 1999.
In the beginning over 75 percent of the people in the study reported pain from moderate to severe since the crash at the hospital emergency room. When researchers looked six months later still more than a quarter of the crash victims still complained of severe pain.
Experts predicted 2015 to begin the most dangerous era for traffic accidents and deadly collisions involving drivers over the age of 65. Los Angeles car crash lawyer Michael Ehline said the statistics so far because baby boomers proved the experts wrong for 2015.
