Single-car accident kills 25-year-old man

Sheriff's deputies were called to the scene in the 900 block of Toadvine Road to investigate a single-car accident just before 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The victim has been identified as William Freeman, 25, of Oak Grove. Deputies say he lost control of his 2000 model Dodge Dakota truck, left the road and hit several trees. Freeman, who was the only person in the truck, was ejected.

An Oak Grove man was killed in a Thursday evening traffic crash in Jefferson County. William Freeman, 25, lost control of his pickup truck while driving on Toadvine Road, ran off the roadway and struck several trees, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. Freeman was ejected from his Dodge Dakota pickup and pronounced dead at the scene. The single-vehicle crash occurred at around 5:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Toadvine Road. Freeman was the only occupant of the pickup.
