Police officer injured in a collision with an SUV on Interstate 65 in Birmingham, Alabama

Just after Midnight, two North Precinct officers, in separate patrol cars, were blocking traffic for a disabled vehicle on Interstate 65 North just before the Daniel Payne Drive Exit when an SUV crashed into one of the officer’s patrol cars, while our officer was inside the vehicle.
