UA student, 23, killed in Tuscaloosa SUV crash

A 23-year-old University of Alabama student from Trussville was killed in a crash early Saturday morning in Tuscaloosa. Tuscaloosa police responded to the crash site on I-359 Southbound at I-20/59 around 1 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19. The SUV Virgona was riding in crashed into a guardrail on I-359 Southbound at I-20/59. The driver, a 22-year-old man, was taken to DCH for treatment of his injuries. Police have not released any information about his condition.

He was impaired at the time of the wreck, according to medical records. Hoggle was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail and released on a $30,000 bond.
