A Talladega man was killed in a crash after fleeing from a state trooper early Friday morning.

Spokesman Chuck Daniel said in a release that a trooper was trying to stop Welch for a traffic violation and he fled, later losing control of the vehicle.
Terence Deon Welch was fleeing from a state trooper that attempted to stop him for a traffic violation when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a 2006 Ford F-150. Welch was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected, causing him to sustain serious injuries. He was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Ford did not sustain any injuries.
