Man killed in hit-and-run crash in Huntsville

"The victim was transported to the hospital where (he) later died," Huntsville police Lt. Stacy Bates said. The crash, which occurred at around 10:30 p.m., involved an unknown vehicle.

Thomas Teenor, 84, of Huntsville was crossing the street at Cleveland Avenue and Meridian Street, near the Lone Goose Saloon, around 10:30 p.m. when he was struck by a dark-colored sedan, police report.

“I feel for him cause I know it scared him to death, but I'd just wish they would find out who did this,” said Poole. “They should have stayed, they should have stayed.” The Lone Goose Saloon is celebrating Teenor's life with food and laughs Saturday, Oct. 10 from noon till 2 p.m. - a small act to remember a man everyone at this bar knew as "Mr. Tom."
