Coroner called to wreck in Lexington

The coroner has been called to the scene of a wreck involving an 18-wheeler and another vehicle on Tuesday in Lexington. According to the Lauderdale County EMA, the wreck happened at the 9700 block of Highway 64. Witnesses said the wreck is bad. Emergency crews ask that drivers avoid the area.

The woman pulled out of her driveway in front of the 18-wheeler and was struck, according to Lexington police. The coroner pronounced her dead on the scene. Her identity has not yet been released.
