North Pole teen killed in Bradway Road crash

Elizabeth Schack, 18, a recent North Pole High School graduate, died at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. Her next of kin have been notified. Her passenger, also a teenager girl, sustained serious injuries and was medically evacuated to a hospital in Anchorage.

FAIRBANKS—A Fairbanks teenager was killed Wednesday evening in a vehicle crash at the intersection of Badger and Bradway roads, according to an Alaska State Troopers news release this morning.

The crash was reported at 5:18 p.m. and involved a Toyota Corolla sedan that was struck on the driver's side door by a Ford F-350 pickup truck as the sedan entered Badger Road.

Elizabeth Schack, 18, of Fairbanks died at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. Her next of kin have been notified. Her passenger, who troopers didn't identify, also sustained serious injuries.

The driver of the truck, Jeffrey Butler, 51, of Fairbanks was treated and released at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.
