At about 4:10 a.m., a 26-year-old woman who was driving south on Bethel Avenue neared the intersection with Manning Avenue, which was marked by a stop sign. The woman, identified as Christina Rodriguez, either did not stop or failed to properly yield, as she drove into the path of a westbound car driven by Demetrio Salinas, 47, of Parlier, on Manning Avenue, which struck her car on the driver's side, leaving her dead at the scene. The driver of the westbound vehicle was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. No other information is currently available; check back for updates.
