Both Yan and Zhang were only children and immigrated to the United States from China to attend college. The recent graduates were planning to work together at an accounting firm, Hong said, adding that it was Yan’s goal to provide for her parents.

My daughter was hit in a crosswalk 6 years ago and has suffered physically ever since. We were told the driver tried to run, but witnesses blocked him with their vehicles. The driver fled the USA for China. My daughter suffers a life time of medical issues that he ran to another country to avoid paying for. My prayers to the family of these young victims. Sue for everything you can. It won't bring them back, but it will make people think before ignoring crosswalks.
