Woman in Wheelchair Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver

"I feel like my family has been torn apart," she said. "We were that close."
Natalie Winger was in a wheelchair Sunday night on Hesperia street with her dog, Angel, on her lap, when a dark vehicle hit her and her dog and drove off. The impact broke Winger's wheelchair in two pieces and left her with a concussion, a broken nose and eye socket and other broken bones in her face. The car continued on east on Main Street and went up over a bridge. Authorities are hopeful that surveillance video will aid in the identification of the driver. Angel was not able to recover and was euthanized. Natalie is now demanding the driver come forward and accept responsibility for what happened.
